Hi there, I’m Steph! I was born and raised on a small tropical island called Mauritius.
I’ve always loved being outdoors – whether it’s hanging out in a treehouse, swimming in a waterfall, or conquering mountains in search of the most spectacular views.
I didn’t start traveling outside of Mauritius until the beginning of 2017. At that time, I felt stuck in a rut and wanted a brand new perspective on life, so I booked myself a ticket for a short trip to Malaysia.

From there, I knew wanted to travel more. So, as soon as I got back from my trip, I started researching other destinations and within a few weeks, I had already planned my very first solo trip around Southeast Asia!
Needless to say, I was excited to embark on this new journey but quite apprehensive since I’d never done anything this bold.
During my solo adventures, I’ve learned so much about myself – how to be more independent and finally got out of my comfort zone.
I’ve also learned a lot about planning and budgeting and surprisingly enjoy planning as much as traveling itself! I budget on hotels and transportation but always splurge on experience.

I try to explore lesser-known spots everywhere I go, even if it means getting lost sometimes (spoiler alert, everything turned out right)!
Until now, I’ve traveled to Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Rodrigues Island, Seychelles, Turkey, Philippines, Vietnam, Reunion Island, Laos, the UK, Iceland, Italy, France, Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary, and Switzerland but my bucket list is still flooded with lots more destinations.
When I’m not traveling, you’ll either find me planning my next trip or exploring my own backyard until my next adventure abroad begins!
I also design bespoke Mauritius itineraries, so if you’re visiting soon, check out my Mauritius trip planning service here.

Hi Steph.. I appreciate your insights on travelling. I hope one day to make it to Mauritius… In the meantime, as you commented on, I am enjoying the ‘planning’ phase of the experience…. Larry
