Looking for the best adults only hotels in Mauritius – close to the most beautiful beaches? You’ve come to the right place!
With idyllic white-sand beaches, crystal-clear turquoise water, and incredible beachfront hotels and resorts, Mauritius Island is one of the best destinations for a romantic or relaxing getaway.
The thing is that adults-only hotels in Mauritius are quite limited and concentrated mostly in the north and east. These two regions are quite different from each other, so I recommend reading my in-depth guide to the best areas to stay in Mauritius first.
But if you’re looking for a quick summary, the north has the best weather year-round and is ideal for first-timers with lots of things to do, restaurants, and shops. It also boasts some of the most beautiful beaches in Mauritius.
The east, on the other hand, feels more secluded and quiet and thus perfect for couples and honeymooners looking for a romantic and quiet place to stay.
While this area also has stunning beaches, it can get a bit windy in winter, mostly from July to September but the temperature still hovers around 20-28°C along the coast, so keep that in mind when booking your adult-only resort in Mauritius.
Since I live here and stayed in some of the best adults only hotels in Mauritius, I’ve already done all the research and compiled everything in this blog post to make things easy for you.
So whether you want to splurge for a special occasion or looking for a budget accommodation, this guide will help you decide which adult-only Mauritius hotel or resort is the right one for you.

Located about a 15-minute drive from Grand Baie, Paradise Cove is by far the best adults-only hotel in Mauritius. If you’re looking for a luxurious 5-star hotel to spend your honeymoon, this is it!
People are always raving about Paradise Cove thanks to its outstanding service and intimate setting within a beautiful sandy cove with crystal-clear water and magnificent view of Coin de Mire Island.
The rooms are beautifully decorated in earthy tones and feature wood and rattan furniture, flat-screen TV, tea and coffee making facilities, air-conditioning, private bathroom, and balcony (some of which overlook the sea).
The hotel also has a stunning infinity pool, 4 restaurants serving local and international cuisines that even cater to vegetarians and vegans, 3 bars, a spa, and gym.
You’ll have plenty of free activities to choose from like snorkeling and glass-bottom boat trips as well as SUP, kayaking, and yoga. They also provide free bicycles so you can easily explore the local neighborhood.
And if you want to experience the nightlife in Mauritius, you can head to Grand Baie which has numerous bars and nightclubs.

Situated on Palmar Beach on the east coast, Ambre Resort features 297 rooms and suites just a few steps from a white sandy beach, 2 swimming pools, 3 restaurants and bars, gym and spa.
The rooms have all the necessary amenities to ensure a comfortable stay including a complimentary minibar that gets restocked daily. If you’re traveling with a group, the deluxe family suite can sleep up to 4 adults.

At night, relax with a cocktail in hand or if you have some energy left, sing your heart out during the karaoke nights at the H&H Lounge Bar or hit the dance floor at the Shakers nightclub.
I’ve been to Ambre Resort only once but immediately fell in love with their delicious buffet spread which also includes Mauritian specialties. You can also eat at Dolce Vita for Italian dishes or La Plage for seafood and BBQ.

Lagoon Attitude
Rating: 8.6/10 | Location: North | All-inclusive: Yes | Check price here
Lagoon Attitude was the first all-inclusive adult only hotel in Mauritius I stayed at. It’s located in the village of Calodyne, about a 15-minute drive from Grand Baie.
This eco-conscious hotel consists of 182 rooms, 3 swimming pools (one of which is heated), gym, spa, 5 restaurants, and 5 bars spread along a beautiful white-sand beach.
Decorated in beachy tones with upcycled décor and furniture made by local artisans, the rooms at Lagoon Attitude are fitted with a double bed, TV, minibar, safe, air-con, bathroom and a terrace. The suites even boast an outdoor jacuzzi!
The hotel offers plenty of activities to keep you occupied during your stay. Explore the protected snorkeling trail in front of the hotel with their free snorkeling and glass-bottom boat trips.
Yoga sessions, kayaking, SUP, and windsurfing are also provided free of charge and they have evening entertainment including live music and dance.
If you want to sample Mauritian cuisine, they have a special Mauritian night once a week, plus you can check out Taba-J, their street food truck that serves local specialties like dholl puri and faratha with a selection of Mauritian curries.
Another plus for this hotel is that they even provide free reusable bottles that you can refill from the free water fountains as well as free natural reef-safe sunscreen.

Veranda Paul & Virginie
Rating: 8.7/10 | Location: North | All-inclusive: Yes | Check price here
If you’re looking for an affordable adult-only hotel in Mauritius, Veranda Paul et Virginie might prove to be the right choice.
Since the hotel is located in the small fishing village of Grand Gaube, there isn’t a whole lot to do in the area apart from swimming at the beach.
But on the bright side, you’re within a quick bus or car ride from Grand Baie which has plenty of restaurants and shops (free shuttles to Grand Baie are provided on certain days of the week).
The hotel also provides plenty of land and water activities, plus you’ll have access to 2 outdoor pools, a gym and spa so you won’t get bored easily.
Due to the somewhat remote location, the hotel is very peaceful and quiet and is one of the most romantic places to stay in Mauritius.
All rooms offer a sea view and are equipped with a large double bed, desk, flat-screen TV, safe, minibar, air-con, seating area, private bathroom with complimentary toiletries, and a terrace.

Solana Beach Hotel
Rating: 7.7/10 | Location: East | All-inclusive: Yes | Check price here
On the white sandy shores of Belle Mare lies one of my favorite adults-only hotels in Mauritius, Solana Beach.
This affordable 4-star hotel features only sea-facing rooms so you can easily fall asleep to the gentle lapping of the waves or admire the sunrise from the comfort of your private balcony.
Rooms are spacious and clean and have a large double bed, seating area, air-con, safe, minibar, and a private bathroom with complimentary toiletries.

The hotel is located slightly away from the main public beach area so you’re guaranteed to have an empty strip of sand all to yourself. Plus, the water is crystal-clear so make sure to take advantage of the free water activities.
There’s only one restaurant nearby but the onsite restaurant is awesome so you don’t necessarily need to eat out. Their cocktail and buffet menu is very delicious and quite extensive so I highly recommend booking an all-inclusive stay.
Just note that you’ll need to hire a taxi or rental car to get around as there are no buses here.

Tropical Attitude
Rating: 8.2/10 | Location: East | All-inclusive: Yes | Check price here
Situated in the small fishing village of Trou D’Eau Douce, Tropical Attitude is a 3-star hotel featuring 58 sea view rooms and 11 private pool villas that are perfect for a relaxing getaway on a budget.
Staying in Trou D’Eau Douce means that you’re within a quick boat ride to Ile aux Cerfs (free boat shuttles are provided twice a day). There are also a range of local restaurants nearby for those wanting to sample the local food.
Like at all Attitude hotels, they have evening entertainment, including weekly Sega shows, and you can even learn how to play a traditional Mauritian instrument during your vacation.
The rooms are cozy and simply decorated with recycled décor and fitted with amenities like a double bed, TV, minibar, seating area, air-con, tea and coffee maker, private bathroom, and a terrace.
If you’re looking for a cheap adult-only hotel in Mauritius, you should definitely consider booking a stay at Tropical Attitude.

Salt of Palmar
Rating: 9.1/10 | Location: East | All-inclusive: Yes | Check price here
Situated beside Ambre Resort (mentioned above), Salt of Palmar is another highly-rated Mauritius adults only hotel worth considering for your trip.
The hotel design boasts a mix of Mauritian and Moroccan influences with an open courtyard featuring a swimming pool surrounded by greenery and plenty of lounge chairs.
All rooms are fitted with a king-size bed, air-conditioning, safe, private bathroom with complimentary toiletries, and a balcony with an ocean, pool, or garden view. A yoga mat and block are also provided free of charge.
They pride themselves on being sustainable by avoiding single-use plastics, using only locally sourced ingredients, and providing an à-la-carte menu instead of a buffet to reduce wastage.
The main draws, for me personally, are the soft white sand beach and crystal-clear water with lots of colorful fish so you can snorkel right off the shore. Free water activities like kayaking, SUP, and snorkeling tours are also offered.
If you want to eat out, head to the village of Trou D’Eau Douce about a 10-minute drive away for a nice selection of local restaurants.

Sunrise Attitude
Rating: 8.8/10 | Location: East | All-inclusive: Yes | Check price here
Located in Belle Mare just a few steps from one of the longest beaches in Mauritius, Sunrise Attitude is a 4-star hotel featuring 153 rooms, 8 private pool villas, 2 swimming pools, a wellness center, and gym.
Sunrise Attitude is one of the few adults only hotels in Mauritius that cater to vegans. All 3 restaurants offer plenty of vegan options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
They also offer free snorkeling and glass bottom boat trips allowing you to explore the underwater world of Belle Mare beach which is known for its crystal-clear water and diverse marine life.
Although some of the rooms overlook the ocean, this isn’t a beachfront hotel so you’ll have to cross the road to get to the beach but it’s still a great option for those visiting Mauritius Island on a budget.

Seasense Boutique Hotel & Spa
Rating: 8.5/10 | Location: East | All-inclusive: No | Check price here
Seasense is a small luxury boutique hotel situated on Palmar beach. With only 59 rooms and suites, the hotel has a very intimate feel and is perfect for couples looking for a romantic place to stay in Mauritius.
The beach here is amazing with fine white sand and crystal-clear water, so great for snorkeling. The swimming pool directly faces the ocean and is surrounded by palm trees that provide enough shade to relax.
The hotel also has a gym, spa, 3 restaurants serving local and international dishes, and 2 bars. They also have live music and entertainment in the evening.
All rooms are equipped with the necessary amenities and have either a sea or garden view.
For the ultimate luxury experience, be sure to book their Royal Sea Suite which has a large double bed, desk, bathroom with bathtub, and a balcony with an amazing ocean view and direct beach access (for ground floor rooms only).

Radisson Blu Poste La Fayette
Rating: 8.2/10 | Location: East | All-inclusive: Yes | Check price here
The ideal choice for a beachfront adult only hotel in Mauritius East if you’re looking for peace and tranquility, Radisson Blu Poste La Fayette comprises 100 rooms, 3 restaurants serving a mix of local and international cuisines, bar, outdoor pool, gym and spa.
The white minimalist rooms have either a garden or beach view (some even have direct beach access) and come with a double bed, mini-fridge, flat-screen TV, safe, and tea and coffee making facilities.
I’ve been to Radisson Blu twice already and absolutely love the food, especially their dessert selection which is to die for!
There’s live music in the evening and hotel guests can enjoy free water activities. They also have a 24-hour reception so there’s always a staff ready to assist you at any time of the day.

The only downside is that the beach at this adults-only Mauritius hotel isn’t the best for swimming year-round (particularly during the winter months) but it makes up for its secluded location.
If you want to venture out of the hotel, it’s best to rent a car or hire a taxi. Alternatively, you can take the bus but be prepared for their erratic schedules.
Soak in the local atmosphere at the bustling Flacq Market located about a 20-minute drive away where you can stock up on fresh fruits and souvenirs or head over to Bras D’Eau National Park to explore the numerous hiking trails that cater to all levels. The tourist hotspot of Grand Baie is also a short drive away.

Hi Sally. There’s La Mariposa on La Preneuse Beach which has amazing sunset views. It isn’t adults-only but still very peaceful.
